What does empowerment mean to you, both personally and professionally?
Empowerment, to me, means giving my team the autonomy to grow, learn, and make decisions with confidence. I motivate them by sharing stories from my own experiences, focusing on what I would have done to help them develop. "Giving them autonomy, trusting the team, trusting their decision, even though if they make a mistake, we can talk about it, own up to it, and move on, and fix it." This trust creates a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and on a personal level, I see my team as family, always reminding them never to let anyone make them feel less than they are.

What initiatives or policies do you believe are essential for creating an inclusive and empowering work environment?
Creating an inclusive work environment starts with policies that promote fairness and equality for all employees. It’s crucial to advocate for gender equality, ensuring that both male and female employees have equal opportunities and support. Leaders play a key role in empowering young women by mentoring them and providing the guidance they need to believe in themselves. As I always say, “When we support and uplift young women, we’re not just shaping their futures, but the future of society as a whole.” By fostering a positive, supportive environment in the workplace, homes, and schools, we can help young women achieve their goals and dreams, ultimately shaping a brighter future for them.
